An ode to goofiness
Happy April Fools Day 😜
On this most silly of holidays, I wanted to do something fun. So I made you a playlist honoring the lovable fool. Like and save on Spotify 🎧❤️
Music from Thin Lizzy, Elvis Costello, Deep Purple, Grateful Dead, Frank Zappa, Steely Dan, Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and more…
Goofball Club
I have a little piece of paper taped to the wall over my desk that says “Keep it silly.”
I, like many, was born a goofball. Someone who laughs when you’re not supposed to and genuinely thinks fart jokes are funny. “Oh god, she’s got a case of the giggles,” is something I heard a lot growing up. I love to laugh and make people laugh.
I usually connect with people who don’t take themselves too seriously. I think being able to laugh at yourself (especially when it’s hard) is one of the most underrated spiritual, mental, and emotional exercises you can do.
Embracing the part of you that isn’t polished or cool, connecting with your inner child. In literature, the archetypal Fool has a lot of childlike characteristics: they babble, they don’t understand social conventions, and so they can speak truth in a way that others can’t. Their vulnerability is their superpower.
These songs are about that part of you, the part that’s trusting, earnest, and endearing; the part of you that took a risk and is here to tell the tale.
Goofballs and Fools unite 🤘

Here’s a video to make you laugh. Not music related, but it’s damn cute 🥺

Beautiful, Gracecutie, love the list. On entry, I just missed Chain Of Fools by Aretha. But I did a search songs with "fool" on Spotify and found some other very nice ones, for next year, and beyond. Love.
Oh man!! So good!! what a brilliant idea!
